Author Biography (Short)

Bryan Clark is a retired U.S. Army Green Beret with 25 years of service and the author of the Mendacity thriller series. His writing blends real-world operational experience with grounded, human storytelling that explores loyalty, corruption, and the hidden networks shaping global conflict.

Author Biography (Long)

Bryan Clark served 25 years in U.S. Army Special Forces, deploying across Afghanistan, Iraq, and Central/South America. After retiring, he turned to writing as a way to tell the stories he carried, stories shaped by the fog of war, the complexity of intelligence work, and the moral crossroads inherent in modern conflict.

His debut novel, Mendacity: America’s Best Are Secretly Dwelling Among You, introduced readers to a world where truth is buried beneath layers of corruption and clandestine influence. The sequel, Mendacity Part II: The Seeds of Corruption, expands that world into the aftermath of 9/11, where the drug trade and the war on terror intersect with devastating consequences.

Bryan also founded The Mission Brief, a veteran-focused publication created to showcase real experiences, reflections, and the shared wisdom of the military community. Through both fiction and non-fiction, his work aims to bridge the gap between veterans and civilians, fostering understanding, connection, and honest conversation.

He currently lives in Northern California with his family, where he continues writing the Mendacity series and mentoring veterans who want to turn their experiences into stories.
